  Generationation: This Is Me…Then

  this is a blog that i read generally to get my day started.

  a couple of funny cats but this article has had me laughing for the last 5 minutes i'll let you figure out why.. .

  the question i posed on the twitters was this: is coming to america the defining movie of our generation, with the caveat of our generation being 25-44 year olds.

  The question I posed on the Twitters was this: Is Coming To America the defining movie of our generation, with the caveat of our generation being 25-44 year olds. Arguably, that range is too long but did you know a generation is considered to be an 18-year period?Did you also know that Coca-Cola was originally green? I didn’t either ’til I just googled it.

  Like teel said they have that base covered to: Whenever they are saying true peace and security than instant destruction will be upon them.

  And speaking of that scripture how fugged up is that? mankind has been (in theory) trying to have peace for all and than when they (allegedly) achieve it they are destroyed?!? According to the 'universal issue' god challenges that mankind cant have peace without him yet here we read as soon as they achieve it time for destruction.

  Reminds me of when my wife does something to piss me off and comes up later 'will you forgive me?' My usual response is why so you can do it again.

  Could this Awake! article be used against the new Elders book where 7 chapters or so talk about DF- ing? I'm saving this for proof.

  There is an unwritten law if you can prove your point or argument with older article your case is won. Now this was mainly used in elders circles when they were trying to jockey for position.

  I'm not sure how long I can stay married to the Witnesses

  i don't post often, but i lurk a lot.

  i have fonund the information to be helpful and encouraging.. however, i'm not sure how much longer i can take being married to the jw's.. i have a wonderful husband, but he believes everything this cult tells him.

  most recently he has decided that because the end is near we don't have to worry about our bills.

  Damn I feel sorry for you! Do ya'll have any kids? There is a scripture (I believe timothy) if a man does not work neither let him eat, a shame witlesses set aside this scripture if the non-worker is pursuing spiritual things.

  Yet another examplke of how this religion emasculates you as a man.

  it's funny how asking a simple question brings down a religious house of cards- just why does god need the f&ds, the gb, or even any puny humans to accomplish his will?

  jws refuse to ask a simple question, like, where can i find just one genuine member of the f&ds?

  they know that asking questions of the wt religion means retribution from the stooge elders who mete out their official punishment to doubters of the gb.

  Wow a friend and I weere having this convo last week and I brought up this scene (only good part of the movie.)

  Its funny I always loved this scen but NEVER thought to apply it to the dubs when I was in.

  Like gary said religion and god is a thing that man needs. All the worship and devotion that is spose to go to god by proxy ends up being giving to men (in one way or another.;-)

  Great story!

  Its good no matter what age you get out, but I am always glad when people get out young enough to still be able to enjoy their youth!
